Qatar 2022 was one of the most anticipated and controversial events in the history of soccer. While authorities pretended to be open-minded for the rest of the world, the LGBTQ+ community in Qatar was silenced, threatened and punished. The Alwan Foundation -the only NGO who fights for the rights of LGBTQ+ Qatari people- wanted to find global support for them. And funny enough, the best way to do it was supporting the enemy: Qatar.
